Lewisporte doctor charged with four counts of sexual assault

Dr. Rasheed Kadhem of Lewisporte has been charged with four counts of sexual assault.

He was arrested Wednesday by the RCMP’s major crimes unit. He appeared in court in Gander today and was released. He is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 12.

The alleged assaults date back to January 2010 and involved one patient. An investigation into the matter continues.
