Visitor restrictions have been put in place at the Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home in Clarke’s Beach and the Hoyles building at Hoyles Escasoni Complex in St. John’s.

The new restrictions, which are due to an increase in respiratory illness, mean only immediate family members are allowed to visit.

Family members who want to visit residents of the Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home must call ahead and check with staff upon arrival. Family members of residents at the Hoyles building should also call in advance for further instruction.

Eastern Health, in a news release sent this afternoon, reminds people to avoid visits to health-care facilities if they feel ill.

The new visiting restrictions will be in place until further notice.
