The provincial government announced an agreement Friday with Ocean Choice International Ltd. (OCI) that will keep the company’s fish plant in Fortune open, and ensuring more than 110 processing jobs for at least five years.
In return for OCI’s commitment to process a minimum of 25 per cent of its yellowtail flounder quota at its Fortune plant, the provincial government will allow the company to export 100 per cent of its redfish quota, under an exemption to provincial minimum processing requirements, the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture revealed Friday in a news release.

Wrong. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary NL'ers will now have continue to pay the EI for 110 fishery workers. I would have rather seen the plant close forever, because then at least the EI abuse would stop.
