Royal Newfoundland Constabulary officers in Corner Brook are investigating a hit and run collision involving two vehicles.
According to a news release issued Sunday, the incident occurred at 4 a.m. that morning at the intersection of St. Mark’s Avenue and Lewin Parkway.
A Dodge pickup truck was driving on Lewin Parkway when a 2002 grey-coloured Honda Accord collided into its side coming through St. Mark’s Avenue.
Police report the collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles. The driver of the car stopped for a short while but left the scene prior to the arrival of police. The driver of the car did not provide personal or vehicle information to the other driver.
The car is said to have no front bumper and extensive damage on the front end. The driver is said to be a male, and police have obtained a licence plate number for the car from the driver of the truck.
