A trip to a St. John's drive-thru during the early hours of Christmas Eve earned a man impaired driving-related charges.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary's overnight report, staff at the restaurant contacted police at approximately 6 a.m. on Dec. 24 due to a possible impaired driver using the drive-thru service.
Police charged a 27-year-old male with impaired driving and operation of a motor vehicle over the legal blood-alcohol limit.
The man was released to appear in court at a later date.
