On a day where goodwill and merriment is the typical ‘modus operandi’ for most people, police in the St. John’s metro area reported it was a quiet Christmas for crime.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s overnight report issued early Wednesday morning, police received 90 calls from 7 a.m. Christmas Day to 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday. All were reported to be routine in nature, with none considered noteworthy according to police.
