A man has been charged with impaired driving following an accident in downtown St. John’s where it’s alleged he struck three parked vehicles.
Peter Evans appeared in weekend and statutory holidays court Saturday morning, where he was released on an undertaking.
According to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s overnight report, witnesses saw a vehicle hit three parked vehicles on Water Street early Friday evening. Witnesses also reported that the male driver appeared to be impaired. Police believe the driver was under the influence of drugs.
Evans is charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired and public mischief by diverting suspicion. His next scheduled court date is Jan. 25.
