The RNC’s investigation into a New Year’s morning shed fire in the area of Old Broad Cove Road in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s — that spread to and damaged an adjoining apartment building — is continuing.
The RNC and the Portugal Cove–St. Philip’s Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene about 5:38 a.m. The shed was engulfed in flames at the time and had spread to the apartment building.
There were no injuries reported.
The shed was completely destroyed with moderate damage to the apartment building.
