The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is investigating a mischief complaint, stemming from an incident in the Churchill Square area of St. John’s, Thursday.
Police say around 12:45 p.m., RNC patrol officers responded to a complaint in which a woman reported she was sitting in her vehicle when a firecracker landed in her lap.
The RNC said the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police say a suspect has been identified and an investigation into this incident is ongoing. The RNC would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
