Driver’s licence suspended after two-vehicle collision

A 31-year-old man from Corner Brook was given a seven-day driving suspension Sunday, following a two-vehicle collision that sent two people to hospital.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) said the collision occurred around 5:15 p.m. Sunday. Police officers, along with members of the Corner Brook Fire Department and a Western Memorial Regional Hospital ambulance responded to the incident at the intersection of the Lewin Parkway and O’Connell Drive.

Both vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and two occupants of one vehicle were transported to hospital for non-life threatening injuries where they were both treated and released.

The driver was given a driving suspension after a breathalyzer test was administered.
