RNC seeking witnesses to collision

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s (RNC) Accident Investigation Unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a vehicle collision in the area of Robert Howlett Drive and Main Road in the Goulds area of St. John’s Friday.

Around 2 p.m. officers from the patrol services, accident investigation and forensic identification divisions responded to a collision in which a Honda CRV was traveling South on the Robert Howlett Memorial Drive and a GMC pick up was traveling north when the two vehicles collided.

All occupants were transported to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but non-life-threatening.

RNC accident investigators are continuing their investigation into the collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or were in the immediate area to contact police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com
