RNC investigating alleged assault

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an alleged assault in downtown St. John’s early this morning.

According to police, the complaint was received from a cab driver in the George Street area.

Members conducted an investigation and took a unidentified female into custody for assault. She was held in custody until a court appearance.
