The polling company actually breaks down the results by province - why doesn't the Telegram do some homework and report on the numbers here in Newfoundland and Labrador? In this province, the Liberals are in third place with 28% of voter support, compared to 30% for the Conservatives and 41% for the NDP. 36% say they are mostly or completely satisfied with the Harper government. Frankly, the Liberals deserve their third place showing in this province - our Liberal MPs are utterly useless. But the NDP's lofty numbers are shocking, considering how badly our province's NDP MPs have performed so far - especially Ryan Cleary, who says his MP pension should be more generous and wants the seal hunt to end.

Atlantic Canada only represents 11 percent of the seats in Parliament. Elections are decided in Quebec, Ontario and the West. Harper knows that.
