The MV Apollo will continue to provide service between St. Barbe and Blanc Sablon in the Strait of Belle Isle until Jan. 31, according to the provincial Department of Transportation and Works.

The MV Sir Robert Bond is in the final stages of refit and is scheduled to begin winter service in the Strait of Belle Isle when the MV Apollo finishes. The vessel offers two round trips per week between Blanc Sablon and Corner Brook during the winter months, providing year-round service for the Labrador Straits region.

The province says it will provide a further update when the MV Sir Robert Bond is in place to begin the winter service.

Scheduling information for the MV Apollo can be found at; www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservices/schedules/ or by contacting Labrador Marine Inc. at 1-866-535-2567 (within the province) or 709-535-0810 (outside the toll-free area.)
