The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) has charged a man in connection with an armed robbery in December on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s.

On Dec. 3, around 10:45 p.m., patrol services officers, K-9 unit, forensic identification and criminal investigation division members responded to an armed robbery at the Ultramar store.

A male suspect entered the store with a bat and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. Police say there were no injuries sustained during the incident.

The RNC arrested a man without incident today. He is being held in custody and will appear in provincial court Thursday morning.
