A bank, hardware store and commercial strip in Springdale were destroyed by fire late Wednesday evening.

The RCMP says the Home Hardware building became engulfed in flames that spread to the warehouse and the connected Bank of Montreal.

The fire then "incinerated" all the buildings in a connected commercial strip.

Some homes sustained exterior damage due to the fire's extreme heat.

There were no injuries and the fire isn't believed to be suspicious.

However, an investigation is ongoing.

The RCMP were called to the blaze at 10:45 p.m.

The Springdale and King's Point Fire Department's attempted to put out the fire and protected surrounding homes.
