Imagine all the cost and resources used to find this clown . If he was conscious he must have known this search was going on . Do you think all this effort would have been used for some Joe Blow-Dont think so.

Something weird cooking in his world when he didn't bother to let his family know where he was. . Pretty irresponsible behaviour!

While I'm pleased for the family that Gushue has been found safe, I have to say that the national and local coverage on this story was way overdone. I think it was pretty clear even from the limited facts made public that Jonathan Gushue had merely - as the Aussies say - gone walkabout. I listened to Karl Wells on two networks describe how unlike this was of Gushue even as some mainland media were acknowledging that this was not the first time he had left suddenly without letting family or friends know. 'I know innumerable critics who know Gushue and know that this is so unlike him' says Wells. Well Karl I guess a few brief encounters with a notable chef doesn't necessarily mean you know him. But I guess when the limelight is dimming, any opportunity for exposure is welcome. I guess, on top of that, I somewhat resent the inherent unfairness and inequity that stems from the fact - however expected - that when celebrities go missing as opposed to ordinary people there is an inordinate public wringing of hands. Still, glad to hear he is safe and sound and hope that whatever the medical or personal issue that gave rise to his disappearance is resolved.
