A Department of Transportation salt truck went off the road on the Trans-Canada Highway between Soldiers Pond and the Foxtrap weigh scales, the RCMP report.

Police are currently on the scene as the salt truck is being pulled back on the road.

The Holyrood RCMP says the west-bound lane of the TCH has been closed temporarily while crews work to get the truck back onto the highway.

Motorists can expect delays in the area.
