Man charged with impaired driving

A 37-year-old man was charged with impaired driving around 1:52 a.m. this morning after RNC patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in the Topsail Road area of Paradise.

The driver was charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with more a blood alcohol level above the legal limt. He was released to appear in court at a later date.

Also, around 3 a.m., RNC officers responded to a report of a disturbance on a parking lot in St. John*s centre. Upon arrival they arrested a 47- year-old man for breaches of court orders. He was held in custody until a court appearance.
