Busy night for RCMP in Bay St. George

Bay St. George district RCMP made a number of arrests overnight including laying charges of dangerous driving and forcible confinement in separate cases.

A resident of Black Duck Siding was charged overnight with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, flight from police and assaulting a peace officer.

The offences occurred in the community on the province’s west coast.

The accused was arrested and later released to appear in provincial court at Corner Brook April 15.

In another incident a resident of Stephenville Crossing was charged with forcible confinement, assault, uttering threats and mischief.

The accused was arrested and later released from custody to attend provincial court March 11.
