Two drivers face impaired charges in Happy Valley-Goose Bay

A 51-year-old man from Bai Comeau, Que. is facing impaired driving charges as a result of an RCMP traffic stop in Happy Valley-Goose Bay early Saturday morning.

According to police, the driver was stopped around 2 a.m. on Hamilton River Road.

Charges of impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit are now pending against the man who will appear in provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay on March 6.

During a separate incident early Sunday morning, RCMP conducted another traffic stop on Hamilton River Road, leading to a 21-year-old woman from the town facing impaired driving charges. She will also appear in court in court on March 6.
