The RNC is requesting the assistance of the general public in providing information regarding a theft of various prescription medications from the Aquarena in St. John’s.
Police say they received a complaint about 1:30 p.m. today from a woman who said her purse was stolen from the Aquarena on Westerland Road in the city sometime this morning. The purse contained a large quantity of narcotics including RX sleeping pills, clonazepam, and percocet.
The RNC is concerned about the types of narcotics stolen and consider their potential availability on the street to be a public safety concern.
The purse is described as being fluorescent orange in colour.
