RNC respond to assault, theft and alcohol complaints

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook has arrested a 19-year-old male for assault, threats, mischief and breach of probation following incidents reported to police Monday.

He appeared in provincial court and was released on a court order.

Also, around 12:30 p.m. Monday, RNC officers in Corner Brook detained a 14-year-old male resident of the city in connect with a theft complaint at a West Street business. He was issued a youth warning under the Criminal Youth Justice Act and released.

A 21-year-old woman from the city was also apprehended, following a complaint of an intoxicated female at a Mount Bernard Avenue premises. She was charged with breach of a court order and released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
