The St. John’s Regional Fire Department is missing a Motorola HT 1250 portable radio that went missing Saturday.

According to a news release from the fire department, the radio has accessed the dispatch system on several occasions.

The fire department says this radio is an "important part of the communication’s system in dealing with emergency situations."

Anyone having knowledge of where the radio is or who found the radio are asked to contact the St. John’s Regional Fire Department at 722-1234 or the radio can be dropped off at any fire station in St. John’s or Mount Pearl area.

The St. John’s Regional Fire Department says it's more interested in having the radio returned, as opposed to how it was found.
