RNC seek witnesses to snowmobile-pedestrian hit and run

The RNC accident investigation unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a hit and run collision involving a snowmobile and a pedestrian Friday on Delaney’s Road in Conception Bay South.

About 5:34 p.m. Friday, RNC officers responded to the incident in which a male pedestrian, who was on a snowbank was struck by the snowmobile which then left the scene.

The description of the snowmobile and the identity of the operator are unknown. The male pedestrian was conveyed to hospital and treated for what are believed to have been non-life threatening injuries.

Accident Investigators are continuing their investigation and are appealing to anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident to notify the police.

Anyone who has any information in relation to the collision is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
