The Telegram

The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Friday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Arts & Entertainment section.

• Chief Justice Derek Green says the world is embracing new technologies, and so should the courts if they are to evolve.

• A teenager who saw his two friends get stabbed admitted he lied to police and to the court about what happened that night.

Ryan Nightingale’s credibility was undermined Thursday when he told a jury that several things he’s said so far about details of the incident were not true.

• The Town of Logy Bay Middle Cove Outer Cove, which borders St. John’s, is the cheapest place to live on the Northeast Avalon when it comes to property taxes. However, if water and sewer services are what you’re looking for as you set out to build your dream home, you’re out of luck. The town doesn’t have any and isn’t planning on providing the service.

“Financially, we’re very fortunate to be in the situation we’re in and it’s due to the style of management of this council and past councils,” says Mayor John Kennedy. “The other part is we don’t have in-ground services and it is something we want to avoid.
