Placentia lift bridge to be temporarily closed at night

The Department of Transportation and Works is advising that the Sir Ambrose Shea Lift Bridge in Placentia will be closed to vehicle traffic from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night from Jan. 21 to 25.

The department says the closures are necessary to continue repairs and enhancements to the bridge. During these closures, accommodations will be made for emergency vehicles to cross the bridge.

i just traveled over the road from Placentia, up through Southeast and over to the Argentia Access road at Dunville.. Lord have mercy on us poor travelers.
