Four suspects have been arrested in connection to a home invasion that happened Friday evening in Stephenville.

Three men and a woman remain in police custody and are scheduled to appear in court Monday in Stephenville.

Bay St. George RCMP were called to a home on St. Claire Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. Police were told that three people entered the home with their faces covered. They were said to be carrying knives and a machete.

A person inside the home was assaulted, according to the RCMP, while the suspects left the home with cash, marijuana, and prescription pills. They left in a vehicle reportedly driven by a woman.

The four suspects were arrested at traffic stop in the area.

Drugs Attract Crime, usually where you find one you will find the other. There seems to be more to this story. I agree that these low lifes should be made an example of and it's time for our justice system to step up and punish people like this. The punishment should be severe.

Sounds like this house may have been targeted for a reason! Still everytime I see and hear of home invasions it scares me. People should be able to feel safe in their homes. It is a crime that needs to be dealt with to the full extent of the law. There are many places where we can expect to feel unsafe in todays society, but our homes where we raise our families should not be one of them.
