RNC respond to case of forcible confinement, accused held in custody

One man was arrested overnight in the St. John’s area on charges of forcible confinement, assault and uttering threats.

He was held in custody for an appearance in provincial court today.

About 9:50 p.m. Sunday, RNC officers responded to the area of Pennywell Road in St. John’s where they arrested a 27-year-old man and charged him with two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm and one count of uttering threats to damage property.

He was held for court today.

In another case, about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, RNC officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Freshwater Road in St. John’s.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for uttering threats and breaches of court orders. He was held for court today.
