Sting to perform at Mile One Centre in St. John’s

Sting will be in St. John’s for a performance at Mile One Centre June 26 as part of the singer’s Back to Bass tour, it was announced today by Live Nation Entertainment.

A news release notes Sting will perform many of his greatest hits with a five-piece band. He will be joined by his longtime guitarist Dominic Miller, Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), David Sancious (keyboards) Peter Tickell (electric fiddle), and Jo Lawry (vocals).

Sting is a composer, singer, author, actor and activist. He was born in Newcastle, England before moving to London in 1977 to form The Police with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band released five albums, earned six Grammy awards, and in 2003 was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
