The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Thursday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Community section.

• The final day of testimony in an accused murderer’s trial focused on words written by the man who was stabbed to death.

Steven Michael Neville’s cousin testified Wednesday that Doug Flynn wrote three threatening messages on Neville’s Facebook page nine days before Flynn and Ryan Dwyer were stabbed.

•Eastern Health has been ordered by the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador to pay a St. John’s construction company almost $774,000 for unfairly disqualifying its bid on a tender to build an extension to the Janeway Children's Hospital.

Justice Wayne Dymond ruled that Eastern Health should have awarded the contract to Olympic Construction Ltd., whose bid of $6,725,458 was the lowest tendered by approximately $20,000. That contract was awarded to Redwood Construction.

• Growing up as an only child around the bay, television was like a sibling, says Darcy Ward.

“One of my earliest memories is actually watching The Price is Right.’”

On Friday, Ward’s dreams hit the airwaves as he appears as a contestant on the show. Taped in December the episode airs at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
