The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery earlier this month at a business in St. John’s.
Around 7:40 p.m. on Jan.10, RNC patrol officers, K9 and Criminal Investigation Division members responded to an armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart on Crosbie Road. The RNC says a male suspect obtained a small quantity of cash before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as being between six feet, one inch and six feet, two inches tall, medium build, wearing a dark hat, dark scarf, dark winter jacket, jeans and boots. He had his face concealed and carried a knife at the time of the offence.
The RNC is asking anyone with information that would assist in identifying the person responsible or anyone having any information in relation to this crime to contact local police at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
