Keys left in pickup, snowmobile make for easy overnight theft

The RNC in Corner Brook are looking for the person or persons who stole a pickup truck with a snowmobile in the back of it overnight from a residential driveway on Charles Street in the city.

Both the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup and the 2007 Yamaha Phazer snowmobile had the keys left in them at the time of the theft.

The RNC responded to a report of the theft about 6:45 a.m. today.

Later in the morning the stolen vehicle was found abandoned in a private driveway on Elizabeth Street near Gillam’s Road. The snowmobile was also recovered with the stolen vehicle.

    I would hope their insurance company wouldn't cover any damages. You're asking for it by leaving the keys in the vehicle. Insurance shouldn't cover stupidity!
