A 45-year-old resident of Happy Valley-Goose Bay was arrested for impaired driving in the parking lot of the local RCMP detachment early Sunday morning.

According to a news release, an officer observed an older model pickup tuck pull into the parking lot. A man and a woman exited the truck and began yelling at each other.

The officer subsequently arrested the man. He has been charged with impaired driving while exceeding the legal blood-alcohol limit. He is scheduled to appear in provincial court at a later date.
