I still stand by my comments, I am sick and tired of everything being blamed on the system. These aren't youths making a few mistakes. These are adults and at some point in life you need to take responsibility for your life and grow up. These people and those like them who live in housing that I pay for, lawyers and court that I pay for, continues trips to hospital that I pay for, police response that I pay for, inflated retail costs, insurance costs and much more that I and the rest of civilized society pay for are a drain on the financial situation of this province. I am a firm believer that 3 strikes works, it costs just as much to me whether this scum is locked up or on the streets. At least when they are locked up I don't have to worry about them robbing me, fleeing from police in a vehicle and killing me in an accident or coming through my window at 3 am and I end up in jail for doing society a favour. If one day you or yours is injured or killed by one of these thugs I suspect you won't be so forgiving.

No surprises here at all, this guy should have been already locked up. If he was in the USA his 3 strikes would have been up 10 years ago and he wouldn't be out to do the crime, but not here this guy makes headline news time and time again and through the revolving door again at Atlantic Place he goes. Maybe one day he will get found in a window and the world will again be a better place. The justice system is suppose to protect us, if I was the victim of this crime I would sue the justice system for failing to lock this guy up for the time he deserved years ago.

To Do Gooder: you are obviously not a Christian. What a horribly, disgusting thing to say about another human being!! That young man you talked about being crushed by a window while making a bad decision was someone's child, sibling, cousin, friend and father! This young man continuously in trouble and in jail was failed by the system and maybe if he had someone give him a chance while growing up and take some interest in him he might have a better, trouble free life!! How dare you think you are a better person then him or the young lady in this situation! This is a sad story. I don't think it's right to threaten someone or steal but I don't think it's right to say someone should die a horrible death either. Shame on you! It must be great to be so perfect and raise your nose so high in the air.

This is rich, from a VOCM on line story on this, "27-year-old Amanda Murphy of St. John's and 25-year-old Julian Matthew Squires, whose address appears on court records as Her Majesty's Penitentiary" I guess they were both sent home :D
