The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Labrador City has arrested and charged a 35-year-old Labrador City man with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
Police say he was arrested without incident Tuesday afternoon. Police executed a search warrant on a vehicle in the town around 12:15 a.m. Monday. The man was released to appear in court at a later date.
The RNC said about 5.7 kilograms of what appears to be marijuana was seized from the vehicle.
