Man charged with impaired after collision with parked vehicle

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Corner Brook has charged a 67-year-old man from the city with impaired driving following a report from a concerned citizen.

The RNC said the driver struck a parked vehicle around 12:30 a.m. which prompted the citizen to call police.

The man was detained and brought to RNC Headquarters where a breathalyzer test was administered. He was charged and released to appear in court at a later date.

The RNC is continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information are asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
