Search for missing hunter to resume Thursday

Divers began searching the area of West Bay on the Port au Port Peninsula in an effort to locate a 50-year-old duck hunter who has been missing since Monday.

RCMP advised early Wednesday evening that its underwater recovery team had concluded its search for the day and would resume its search on Thursday with assistance from local search and rescue teams.

The man left his home at 8 a.m. on Monday. His family contacted police later that day to report he was overdue to return home.
