The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Thursday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Community section.

• Exploration by Nalcor has outlined what could be an oil discovery off the coast of Labrador — a major one. Nalcor CEO Ed Martin is expected to outline the find today at the annual Newfoundland and Labrador Oil and Gas Industries Association today.

• A man who said Ray Noftall pointed a gun at him became angry on the stand Wednesday when the defence lawyer questioned his version of what happened.

“You think I’ve got nothing better to do than come down here?” said Bill Welsh during testimony.

Welsh yelled at defence lawyer Jason Edwards while being questioned in Noftall’s trial at Newfoundland Supreme Court in St. John’s Wednesday.

• The incoming owner of Bugden’s Taxi says running a taxi company is in her family’s genes.

“I bought Bugden’s Taxi because it’s a great opportunity,” said Jessica Gulliver, who officially becomes the owner of 50 of Bugden’s cab licences Friday.

Gulliver — the daughter of Peter Gulliver, owner of City Wide Taxi — said running a taxi company has long been her family’s business.
