The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to the scene of a vehicle collision Saturday morning in the area of Cochrane Street and Water Street, involving a bus.

The investigation into the collision, which occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m., caused a slow down of traffic in the area.

The driver of the bus was transported to hospital for precautionary reasons.

Another collision took place this morning on the Outer Ring Road. Two vehicles travelling east bound on the Outer Ring were involved in a minor collision which resulted in one of the vehicles, a pick-up truck, crossing the median and colliding with a van travelling west.

Roads were snow covered and slippery at the time.
