Newfoundland Power was dealing with unscheduled power outages Monday evening due to some stormy that hit the island.

In central Newfoundland, outages were reported in Glenwood, Appleton, and Botwood, according to the power utility's website.

Severe weather was cited as the cause for all affected communities. Horwood, Stoneville, and Port Albert also lost power due to a pole fire.

In western Newfoundland, outages were reported in Rose Blanche and Reidville.

Power restoration estimates from Newfoundland Power range from 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
