RNC investigating theft of vehicle registration sticker

The RNC in Corner Brook is investigating the theft of a 2014 registration expiry sticker from the licence plate of a vehicle parked in a private driveway in the west coast city Tuesday afternoon.

About 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, RNC patrol services received a complaint from a resident on Gibbon’s Avenue reporting that sometime between 8 p.m. Monday and 5 p.m. Tuesday, someone entered his driveway and cut the corner piece containing the sticker off his vehicle’s licence plate. The serial number of the stolen sticker was 01246621. The registration sticker was blue in colour.

The RNC is continuing to investigate this incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

    For us, yes it's news. I show these stories to my American friends here at work, they think it's hilarious to read such things compared to what they are used to.
