Members of the Bonavista RCMP detachment seized about 475 grams of marijuana Monday night, following a traffic stop outside the community of Melrose.

An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure and was released from police custody to appear in court, March 21 in Clarenville. He faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

    Not everyone. You must be somewhat of a super hero. The problem with society is Neanderthals like yourself. When all is said and done its still only a bag of grass. Alcohol is a problem and i think it is severly wrong to say one is fine and the other isnt personally i'd love to see alcohol banned simply for the fact that it actually harms health and society.

    Why don't they legalize that drug, It appears to be ready and easy to get by anyone,they are using it for medical reasons, legalize it like they did with booze, back in the 30"s, when booze was illegal there was rum runners with machine guns in the streets, crime was High, if they legalize it , it would reduce crime and under world supply of the drug would be gone, it would also cut out the use of harder drugs, if weed in not available but the pusher got hard drugs then they will sell them

    what a sin. 18 years old. it happens to everyone, young peoples lives get ruined for something that has such a small minimal impact on society.
