The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the public’s assistance regarding a recent break and entry at the Canadian Tire gas bar on Torbay Road in St. John’s early this morning.

Police say around 3 a.m., patrol officers, K-9 unit and Forensic Identification Section members responded to the incident. A quantity of

cigarettes was stolen during the break-in.

The suspect is described as medium build, five feet, 10 inches and about 170 lbs. The RNC said, at the time of the offence, the suspect is believed to have been wearing white Nike sneakers, blue faded jeans, a black jacket, grey hoodie, white gloves and had their face concealed by something grey. It is believed the suspect fled the area on foot and later got in a SUV-style vehicle.
