Crews with the City of St. John’s are working to fix a pair of watermain breaks that happened within 15 minutes of each other Sunday afternoon.

According to an advisory from the city, a watermain break on Petty Harbour Road occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. A separate break was reported at 2:30 p.m. on Water Street at the intersection of Waterford Bridge Road and Topsail Road.

Repairs are due to be completed by approximately 6 p.m. according to the city. Residents in those areas may experience a loss of water, low water pressure or discoloured water. People who experience discoloured water are advised to run cold water in a bath tub until it clears.
