Lewisporte RCMP investigate cabin break-ins

Lewisporte RCMP are investigating multiple break-ins targeting cabins in the Lake O’Brien area.

According to a news release issued early Sunday evening, at least three cabins were broken into over the past week, with tools and liquor amongst the items stolen. Police were initially called to the area on Saturday.

The news release said the RCMP expects more cabin owners will come forward with break-in complaints once they visit their properties.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the RCMP at 535-8637 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
