Woman charged with impaired driving following two-car collision

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to about 180 calls for service between early Tuesday morning and this morning.

Here are some of the incidents reported:

• Around 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, officers came upon a two-car collision on Kenmount Road. A 46-year-old woman, driving one of the vehicles was detained and charged with impaired driving. The woman was released to appear in court.

• At 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, police arrested a 21-year-old woman in the Donovans area under several outstanding warrants. She was conveyed to court.

• At 10:45 a.m., police received a report of assault in the Conception Bay South area. As a result, a suspect was located and arrested for assault and breaching a court order. He was conveyed to court.

• About 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to a Mount Pearl lounge concerning a patron breaching conditions of a court order. Police arrested a 55- year-old man for breaching a court order. He was held for a court appearance.

    She could been drinking the night before and was trying to get home in the morning, but still 'drunk' according to provicial laws.

    The woman was charged not convicted. Let the courts do their job!!!!

      Yes...because as we all know, the chances that this woman was not drunk are excellent. After all, what kind of person would be out driving around in morning traffic of a city drunk at 9:30 in the morning?! What sort of place could possibly spawn such behavior?!? It just defies belief, right?! ....... And THAT"S why "LIving Dunk in Newfoundland" would be a huge hit!

    Wow 9:27AM well if this woman don,t have a problem,then one of the high traffic roads in St John's Kenmount Rd.It's great to see the police are doing a great job time for our courts to do theirs.
