RNC release video in armed robbery investigation

The RNC is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an armed robbery at Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Merchant Drive in Mount Pearl Feb. 19 at about 9:40 p.m.

RNC officers from Patrol Services, K9, Forensic Identification and Criminal Investigation Division responded to incident.

The male suspect entered the store and demanded cash and cigarettes before leaving the scene. The suspect also stole a quantity of lottery tickets.

There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6’0” to 6’2” ft with a slim build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a one piece black snowsuit or coveralls with the hood up. He was also wearing brown boots, grey gloves and had his face was concealed.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the general public and anyone that may have information in relation to this crime is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).     it would be funny if he didin't win on any of the tickets.. Stores need some sort of man-trap for going in and out.. a two door system with a small hallway that you have to get the clerk to buzz you in and OUT!! that way they can trap them while theyre leaving

    Stealing lottery tickets! Another dumb crook! Don't they know that ALC knows what tickets were stoeln and as soon as they try to cash in any stoeln winners the police are informed and dispatched to the store.
