The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) responded to 201 calls in a 24-hour period from early Wednesday morning to this morning.

On Wednesday at 4 p.m. RNC patrol officers stopped a vehicle in the Conception Bay South area. The female driver was charged with driving while suspended and operating an unregistered vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act and her vehicle was impounded.

Also Wednesday, around 8 p.m. RNC patrol officers responded to the area of Conception Bay South to a call of an impaired driver. Police subsequently charged a 60-year-old man with driving while disqualified, impaired driving, and driving over 80 mg% under the Criminal Code. The male was detained for court in the morning.

About 10 p.m., RNC patrol officers responded to a domestic disturbance in a home in the center of the St. John's. Police arrested a 42-year-old male for one count of common assault and he was held for court in the morning. Police say the female victim did not sustain any injuries.

Around 11:30 p.m. RNC patrol officers responded to another disturbance in center city home. Police arrested a 23-year-old male for several breaches of court orders and he was detained for court in the morning.

This morning around 2:30 a.m., RNC patrol officers conducted a traffic safety stop on a vehicle in the area of Ruth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Police arrested a 20-year-old male for driving while disqualified, impaired driving, and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He was held for court in the morning.

    See?! Episode 2 of "Living Drunk in Newfoundland" looks like another great show! Why aren't we doing this?
