Brad Cabana will get a chance to cross-examine Nalcor vice-president Gilbert Bennett and Aboriginal affairs assistant deputy minister Aubrey Gover about the Muskrat Falls project in Newfoundland Supreme Court this afternoon.
Court proceeding have taken a break, until 2:30 p.m. this afternoon.
Although Judge Gillian Butler threw out one of Cabana's core legal arguments , she said she wants to proceed with the rest of the case.

Brad Cabana's case in Newfoundland Supreme Court was almost immediately thrown into legal uncertainty this morning.
Judge Gillian Butler said she can't hear one of his core arguments because he failed to provide proper legal notice to the federal government.
Cabana immediately asked for a two-week delay to provide the proper notice.
The proceedings continue this morning.

Local blogger Brad Cabana is in Newfoundland Supreme Court this morning, representing himself in a legal fight to halt development at Muskrat Falls.
Cabana is the man who ran for both the PC Party and Liberal leadership in the same calendar year. He is also involved in lawsuits with former premier Danny Williams, current premier Kathy Dunderdale and Tourism Minister Terry French.
Cabana is arguing that certain aspects of the Muskrat Falls development are in violation of the constitution of Canada, and therefore the court should shut down the development until all of the unresolved issues have been untangled.
